Infectious is Psykopath’s sophomore release, after their debut EP Primal Instinct (2018). The EP consists of 4 songs, spread across thirteen and a half minutes of potent thrash infused madness. Although the EP continues in a similar vein as its predecessor, it takes on a bit more of a diverse approach in terms of dynamics and influence, showcasing a bit more of the individual and collective musical abilities of the members. It was recorded at SpaceKraft studios in the spring of 2019, and was engineered by Endre Andersen, produced by Yngve Andersen (Blood Command, Bokassa, and more), mixed by the legendary Flemming Rasmussen (Metallica, Morbid Angel, Evile, and more), and mastered at Audiosiege by Brad Boatright, and thus the EP boasts the same crew of contributors as its predecessor, leading to a tried and true production quality.

Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. never been a big death metal fan but this is actually super accessible for the genre, has fun concepts, and personally i'm always a fan of albums with short tracklists and huge runtimes (for individual songs) Great time, good jumping on point for newbies too. alienasu

I've gotten myself into GR by first getting their last album, then decided to give this one a go too. Atoms divide, life decays, seems we are into nuclear explosions here, that is how GR feels, a powerful and fast blitz and stormy riffs and groovy hardcorish - thrashy blasts. Highly recommended for all thrash lovers out there. Toxic Holocaust does come in mind, true that, Wraith, Municipal Waste fans should love this ! sachavonkarl74
